NH's Choice for Removable Pool Fences

A removable pool fence gives New Hampshire homeowners the best of both worlds — a strong, code-compliant safety barrier during pool season and a clean, open yard when the fence comes down. At MValley Fence, we exclusively install Protect-A-Child removable mesh pool fences throughout New Hampshire.

Every fence is custom-measured to your pool, professionally installed by our team, and built to be taken down and put back up in minutes — without tools, without damage to your deck, and without compromising safety.

Whether you want full seasonal removal or simply the option to remove panels for special occasions, our removable pool fence system is the most trusted, most tested, and most installed removable pool fence in the country.

How A Removable Pool Fence Works

Our removable pool fences use a permanent sleeve system drilled into your deck. The I-Beam composite posts snap in and out of those sleeves in seconds — no tools required. When the fence is up, it is a full-strength safety barrier. When it comes down, the sleeves sit flush with your deck surface and discreet hole covers keep everything clean and finished.

Sleeves Are Permanently Set in Your Deck

Small 3/8-inch holes are drilled into your deck or patio surface and permanent sleeves are installed. This is a one-time process done during your initial installation.

Posts Snap In and Lock Securely

The Protect-A-Child I-Beam composite posts insert into the sleeves and lock in place. The system is engineered to withstand over 160 lbs of force — the fence is as strong as any permanent barrier when installed.

Panels Clip Together Section by Section

The super-transparent mesh panels clip between posts section by section. A full pool fence can be set up or taken down by one person in under 30 minutes.

Hole Covers Keep Your Deck Clean

Once the fence is in place, we walk you through how the system works — including When the fence is removed, snap-in hole covers fit over each sleeve opening, keeping your deck looking finished and professional all off-season.

Why NH Homeowners Choose a Removable Pool Fence Over a Permanent One

  • Full safety when you need it, open yard when you don’t — put the fence up for pool season or any time children or pets are present, take it down for parties, landscaping, or off-season

  • No permanent visual impact — your yard looks like your yard, not a fenced enclosure, when panels are down

  • One-person operation — no tools, no contractor, no scheduling — you control when the fence is up

  • Meets NH pool code — the Protect-A-Child system is designed to comply with New Hampshire pool barrier requirements for height, mesh spacing, and gate standards

  • Stronger than aluminum — I-Beam composite posts never rust, bend, or overheat like aluminum fences do in the NH summer sun

  • Modular design — individual panels are replaceable if damaged, so you never need to replace the entire fence

  • Available in black or beige — matches most deck and landscaping aesthetics

Is a Removable Pool Fence Right for You?

A removable pool fence is the ideal solution for a wide range of New Hampshire homeowners. If any of the following applies to your situation, a removable fence is worth scheduling sooner rather than later.

Seasonal Pool Owners

If your pool is open May through September and closed the rest of the year, a removable fence lets you enjoy a fully open yard all winter while maintaining a compliant safety barrier every season it matters.

Families with Young Children or Visiting Grandchildren

Young children don't recognize pool danger. A removable pool fence creates a dedicated barrier that works every single time — even when you're inside, distracted, or hosting guests who bring children to the yard.

Homeowners Who Want Flexibility

If you entertain regularly, have landscaping needs, or simply don't want a permanent fence defining your backyard, a removable system gives you complete control over when the barrier is up and when it's down — without sacrificing strength or safety.

The team at Mvalley Fence did an incredible job with our new 6-ft white vinyl privacy fence installation! I received a quote within 48 hours of contacting them, and their schedule had unexpected availability, so they were able to come the following Monday to do the entire install for a 280 ft. long fence around the entire perimeter of our property.

Speed was an important factor to us since the home didn't have a fence and we have pets that needed a safe place to roam, so we're really grateful that they were able to make things work so quickly and hammer out the project in a single day.

Great experience overall, and I'll definitely work with them again if I have future fence installation needs.

MV fence went above and beyond to complete the installation of the new fence by my pool and repair old fencing that was in my backyard. They completed on schedule and in a timely manner at a fair price.

Great all around. Once on site they bang it out. To add once completed i asked for an adjustment as they were working with existing fencing and they responded. Black Chainlink.

Bill was incredibly friendly and did excellent work repairing our fence after a storm started to cause it to lean and squirrels pulled down some of the panels.

He was able to work around several trees and their roots, secured the posts way better than what was original there, and even made the panels far more even than they were in height. He was communicative the whole way from start to finish and respectful of our time.

When it comes time to repair other sections of the fence or replace it in the future we will definitely call him again. Thanks Bill!

MValley Fence is as good as it gets when it comes to install or repair. Bill, the owner, is fantastic and has a great crew that works alongside him. They are extremely reliable and responsive. Earlier this year I had a problem with my gate due to some high winds, and Bill came by within a few hours and fixed it right up in no time.

If you are looking for a new install, repair, or replacement, MValley Fence is the way to go.

Removable Pool Fence FAQs

A removable Protect-A-Child pool fence in New Hampshire typically costs between $1,500 and $3,500, depending on the perimeter of your pool. Most standard in-ground pools — 30 to 50 linear feet of fencing — fall in the $1,800 to $2,600 range.

That price includes the on-site measurement, all hardware, professional installation, the self-closing safety gate, and hole covers. There are no material upcharges or hidden fees — you receive a written quote before any work begins.

Most NH installations are completed in 2 to 4 hours in a single visit. You will have a fully installed, gate-tested fence the same day our installer arrives.

Yes — you can remove and reinstall a Protect-A-Child fence yourself with no tools and no contractor. The posts pull straight out of the permanent sleeves by hand, and the mesh panels unclip in seconds.

A standard 40-linear-foot fence takes most homeowners 20 to 30 minutes to take down or put back up once they have done it once. We walk you through the full process on installation day before we leave.

What do I do with the holes when the fence is down? The sleeves stay in your deck flush with the surface. Snap-in hole covers — included with every installation — click into place over each sleeve to keep your deck looking clean and finished all off-season.

Yes. The Protect-A-Child system is designed to meet New Hampshire pool barrier code requirements, including minimum fence height, non-climbable mesh spacing, and self-closing, self-latching gate standards.

In New Hampshire, state code requires a compliant barrier around all in-ground pools and above-ground pools under 4 feet tall. Our custom layouts are specifically planned to meet those requirements for height and gate placement.

If your town has additional local ordinances, we can review them with you at the time of your free estimate.

Do I need a permit to install a removable pool fence in NH? Permit requirements vary by municipality. Some NH towns require a permit for any pool barrier; others do not. We recommend checking with your local building department before installation. We can assist with measurement documentation if needed for your permit application.

A Protect-A-Child fence is built to last 10 to 20 years with normal seasonal use. The I-Beam composite posts are engineered to resist UV exposure, heat, and moisture — they will not rust, bend, or become brittle the way aluminum fences do in New Hampshire’s climate.

The mesh panels are UV-stabilized and tear-resistant. Because the system is modular, any individual panel that becomes damaged can be replaced on its own without replacing the entire fence.

What maintenance does it require? Almost none. Rinse the mesh panels with a garden hose as needed and inspect the gate latch and hinges at the start of each season. The sleeves in your deck require no maintenance.

A Protect-A-Child removable pool fence can be installed on concrete, brick pavers, wood decking, composite decking, and stone.

The 3/8-inch sleeve holes are drilled cleanly into the surface — most homeowners describe the result as barely noticeable, especially once hole covers are in place when the fence is down.

Installation on natural stone or very thin pavers may require additional evaluation at the time of your free estimate to confirm sleeve depth and stability.

What about grass or soft ground? The Protect-A-Child sleeve system requires a hard surface for installation. If your pool surround includes grass or soft ground sections, we will plan your layout to maximize hard-surface anchoring along those areas. We discuss every surface condition during the on-site measurement.

The best time to install a removable pool fence in New Hampshire is early spring — March through May — before pool season opens.

Installing before your first swim of the year means your pool is protected from day one and you avoid the busy summer scheduling window.

That said, MValley Fence installs year-round across New Hampshire. If your pool is already open, installation can typically be scheduled within 1 to 2 weeks of your free estimate during peak season. Off-season installs — fall and winter — often have next-week availability.
